Excellent to Like New with box and papers. This is an H series Model.
DESCRIPTION:
In my opinion this is one of the most collectible modern Panerai watches. It was only made for a few years and has become collectible in its own right.
Made in a G series (550 pcs.), H sereis (1000 pcs.), I series (500 pcs). This specimen is an I series watch, and the warranty card is dated 2006.
There are many reasons why this watch has become so collectible. First, the movement is a modified Jaeger LeCoultre mechanical hand wound engine with an 8-day power reserve. Besides it having a movement made by one of the finest watch movement companies in the world, it has an 8-day power reserve just as some of the vintage Panerai watches made in the 1940 and 1950's were given. Collectors that appreciate the history of Panerai, value the connection of this timepiece and its "roots". Of course, this beautiful watch has an exhibition case back so you can see this great movement. Also unique to this watch is that it has a power reserve indicator on the case back, which will encourage the user to look at this awesome movement! Please look at the picture of the case back, and I think you will also appreciate what you see!
It has a relatively sleek 45 mm polished stainless-steel case, that fits comfortably and fits under most shirt cuffs. This model also has a black 2-layer sandwich dial which give the luminous numbers and markers a 3-dimensional appearance. The gold toned hands are also luminous and look stunning again the black dial. The wire lugs are classic looking and hold a tapered Asolumantante brown calf strap on a stainless steel "pre vendom" style butterfly wing shaped tang buckle.
Recently serviced, you can wear this timepiece daily! Functions include hours, minutes, sub seconds, 8-day power reserve and a power reserve indicator seen through the exhibition case back. With a screw down crown, it is also water resistant 30 meters. Whether you are wearing a tuxedo or your torn blue jeans, it will look awesome, and so will you! No watch is more versatile!
